Katie McCullough Simmons will be at Hualalai and Kukio in July 2008 and is offering the following photographic services and custom art projects to residents and guests. Katie also travels throughout the United States and Europe to work with individual families.

• Candid fine art portraits of each family member created in your residence, on the beach, or on the Hualalai or Kukio grounds. Document a day in the life of your family in their Hawaiian environment.
  
  
• Create digital sideshows, custom photo books, or museum quality framed images. Katie shoots with digital and film cameras creating color, infrared, Holga, or black and white images using studio and natural light.
  
  
• Create abstract fine art images of your own garden to display in your home.
  
  
• Personalized Hawaiian ABC books
  Create one-of-a-kind ABC books of your children interacting with items that start with each letter of the alphabet. Siblings, grandparents, and parents can be included as children play with the letter sounds and learn about Hawaii’s natural surroundings. After the photo shoot, Katie will meet with each child and help them create captions for each photo. Photographs will be presented to your family in two forms: a handmade archival book for you to keep as a scrapbook, and a laminated book that your children can read and use to remember their Hualalai vacation and learn their ABCs.
  
  
• Photographic workshops for children or teens
  Two to three hours of technical instruction provide the tools and encouragement to document their own vacation, including the camera’s basic functions, how to use natural light, and creative assignments to encourage exploration of perception and placement of subject in the frame. Disposable cameras provided for young children when necessary.
